Kathy sent out an email sharing that the Board voted to adopt RI's statement on Diversity Equity and Inclusion. Also, they approved $15,000 to go to Allocations to support community needs. Allocations will announce what the results of their decisions are.
Craig Stockwell thanked the Board for the adoption of the DEI statement.
Mary Delisle invited more people to join for the Pocket Park cleanup on Saturday morning at 8:00 a.m. Also, Pooky is turning 80 on May 21st and she thought it would be fun if our group sent individual cards to make her feel recognized on this big day. Addresses are in Club Runner.
Dee Belanger announced road side clean up through an to the club and apologized for the "masks needed" message as that was copied from an old email.
Ken Jue announced that the Paul Harris Fellow Committee will meet on May 27th.
Alan Stroshine represented Cheryl Belair who wasn't able to be at the meeting and encouraged people to review the sponsor list and the materials and get your asks out there. Kathy encouraged club members to give personally as well.
Susan Newcomer shared that she saw Marcia from Kristin's. Marcia said that they are close to signing a purchase and sales agreement for their business. Marcia ended up treating for one of the lunches at Krif road which was worth $400. Allen Mendelson suggested that Marcia be nominated for a Paul Harris award and Ken encouraged somebody to nominate her officially.
Much discussion was had related to the upcoming sneaker deliveries. As you sign up through club runner (email will come to your shortly), instructions will be shared with you.
