Yves shared that we will discuss the different committees that our new members might be interested in at our Club forum at the end of April.
Dan Smith shared that with Rudy retiring from the Kids Demar Committee, the Keene Y has decided to partner with Kids Demar to build a strong partnership and support healthy living and youth development. They are looking to add more people to the committee and are holding weekly zoom meetings. The information is below - please consider joining!
Nancy Vincent and Yves shared information about Green Up Keene taking place on April 24th. Bags can be picked up downtown at 8:00 a.m. and you will be sent out to different locations. Yves shared the information below:

Phil Hueber shared that it's budgeting time and asked the committees to send him their budgets. Yves and Phil will get to work on finalizing next fiscal year's budget.
Susan and Denise gave an update about the Follow Me efforts. 27 schools have been contacted and all are excited. Steve, from Toy City, is giving us a very good price on jump ropes for the 3rd graders who didn't get sneakers last year due to the pandemic.
Ted shared that the sneakers will be picked up next week!
Craig Stockwell shared that they received several applications for Unsung Hero scholarships and the committee will get to work on choosing who recipient(s) is.
Kathy Collinsworth shared a thank you letter from Cheshire County Conservation for the $856 allocation for their Farm Camp Scholarships.

Kathy Collinsworth shared that her Mom's 17 year old cat needed to be euthanized and that her son, Seth, ruptured his ACL and tore his MCL and meniscus in a pick up basketball game. Surgery in mid May. Also, MHS had 14 dogs transported from the south if anybody is interested. They fly out the door!
Mike Chelstowski shared that the library lost $40K in revenue due to the loss of the book sale fundraisers. The Friends of Keene Public Library are looking for some donations to help with this. The link was shared in the chat box. Marti also shared that the Friends typically pay for all of the wonderful programs offered through the library.
Ann Heffernon gave a shout out to Yves for all of the technology help for the Men Who Cook virtual event.
Jay Smeltz shared that former Rotarian, George Scott, passed away. He shared the fun story about when we had an exchange student here from Turkey, George would always bring her the Wall Street Journal.
Sally Bulger shared the update on her sister's ovarian cancer. They received negative scans recently!! Also, her son, Blain is fighting COVID. She has enjoyed working with Melissa Stroshine at the vaccine site.
Alan jumped in to give a shout out to both Susan and Sally for their time at the vaccine site.
Ted McGreer shared that his son, Matthew, received a call to welcome him into the Keene Interact Club! He also said that it's been nice seeing his Rotarian friends in the store with more and more vaccines being administered.
Allen Mendelson had surgery on his hand to help with severe arthritis. He missed not waking up in recovery to Sally Bulgers friendly smile.
Denise is excited about her tee time on Saturday!
