Beth Kirkpatrick shared that the Scholarship Committee chose 3 recipients out of 8 applicants. The 3 recipients will attend our June 8th meeting. 

 

Nancy Vincent reminded everybody of Green Up Keene on Saturday at 8:00 a.m. at Railroad Square to start. 

 

Susan Newcomer gave an update on the Follow Me efforts. Sneakers, frisbees and jumpropes will be delivered to 27 schools. Phil W. will be recruiting drivers to pull the trailer. 

 

Patrick thanked the club for the discussion on DEI and for those who had the courage to share their stories and for those who came to listen. 

 

Mary Delisle shared that she and Ann Henderson assessed our Pocket Park and will be scheduling a clean up in mid May.

 

Marion LaFrancios reminded people about the geranium sale for Interact. Delivery will be May 4th at the Keene Y.

 

 

 

Cheryl Belair shared that she has been getting creative in how he works out at work. She has been doing stairs to the 3rd floor numerous times with planks at the top. As she was meeting with us, she was standing on a Bosu Ball and hoped she didn't embarrass herself by falling during the meeting!

 

Marion Lafrancios shared that she and Kelley canoed the Ashuelot and saw MANY golf balls from Bretwood!

 

Laura shared that she and Kerry (sp?) visited her aunt in Virginia and were terrified of not being back in time for their 2nd vaccine because of the snow storm! Thank you Kerry Kelley for calming Laura down. 

 

Ann Looney had a funny memory of entering a canoe race with George Foskett and screaming at each other the whole way. Uncle Howard had his 91st birthday and she took her Mom over to visit her brother - a sweet reunion given COVID.

 

Susan Newcomer  -Congrats to Kerry Kelley for her temp job at Krif Road. Thank you to Alan Stroshine - Edward Jones - for the 20 pens donated for the volunteers to use with their tablets at Krif. 

 

Judith Putzil thinks that a mini tornado hit her area with all the big trees that came down!

 

Mariann McGauley reminded people about the Butterfly release at HCS on June 10th. Orders can be done on line and in person is by reservation only. 

 

Allen Mendelson gave Mari Fisk a shout out for the nice article in the Sentinel about her. 

 

Glenn Galloway shared that his son, Sam, and his fiance are finally able to schedule their wedding - August 28th!

Abbie and Glenn will be attending their first indoor concert soon since COVID!

 

John Round was happy to attend a couple of Bruins games!

 

Samanthan Wilhelm celebrated her 1st month of retirement and her second shot. Her stepmother reunited with her partner of 30 years after 2 years apart due to COVID. It was very sweet. 

 

Mike Chelstowski went to Ohio to visit family and dealt with the snow storm as well!

 

Yves asked all to consider sending him any pictures of Men Who Cook events as he works on the virtual event.
