GREEN UP KEENE IS COMING- DON'T FORGET!

 

Susan Newcomer gave a shout out to Beth Wood and Woody from 21 Bar & Grill for the amazing lunch that they provided to volunteers at Krif Road! 

 

Dan Smith asked if any of us, or other business owners, would like to provide items for the Kids Demar bags that will be given out on race day. 

 

Marion shared that geraniums will be for sale for Interact again. $7.each or 3/$18. She sent out an email to the club about it. 

 

Judith announced that we will have a Club Forum about Membership on the 29th of April and asked that Committee Chairs come prepared to talk about what their committee's charter so that new members could consider what committee they might be interested in joining. 

 

Kathy shared a thank you letter from Mayhew for an allocation made to them to support a Keene counselor for the young boys from Keene who are part of the Mayhew program. 

Also - Kathy shared that the Board discussed the possibility of an in person gathering before the end of our FY (end of June) to pass the gavel to Yves. We welcome any offers to host the event at a large outdoor space at your home. Otherwise, Kathy will look into other outdoor spaces to rent. 

 

 

FOUNDATION:

Bob Englund shared that Dita had a knee replacement and is doing well. It seems we have a whole knee replacement club - Susan Newcomer had both! Phil Hueber, Bob England and Allen Mendelson all chimed in. 

 

John Round shared that his Mom's home care plan fell through and they were scrambling to find a replacement. As it turns out, a young lady from Keene who was one of our Unsung Hero's Scholarship recipients, will be caring for John's mom! John also got to play golf with Cam at TPC Sawgrass. 

 

Patrick announced April showers bring May flowers.... he has his outdoor shower now installed at home.

 

Phil Hueber came across some video footage from 1989 when they were rallying to "stop the mall" development and was stunned to see himself on video from 32 years ago!

 

Heidi (still showing her dollars but will give through paypal) shared that Julianna, Peter and Ellie are all on their way towards vaccines. April 23rd is Rudy's bday and Ellie passed her drivers Ed road test!

 

Chuck shared that he and Liz will be taking their 1st trip to Omaha to visit family. 

 

Kerry Kelley shared that she accepted a 10 week temporary position with CMC/DHK to do training at Krif Road!

 

Cher shared that she will be turning 64 and her son is 24! Happy Birthday, Cher!

 

Alan Stroshine shared the remembering of the Boston bomb in 2013 when he was there in person. Mary Delisle's daughter was working the med tent that day and it was all so very scary. 

Also, Mary reflected on the passing of Bill O'Mara who was a Rotarian at one time. 

 

Allen Mendleson gave a shout out to Cam Tease who is retiring from the Keene Senior Center after giving back to our community in many ways! 

 

Allen Mendelson and Patrick led the Club Forum on DEI and Yves recorded the meeting if anybody is interested in seeing it.
