We had a Club Forum about Membership and we will continue to have Committee Chairs finish presenting at next week's meeting. This may mean that we don't do Foundation, as we want to be respectful of the speakers time.

Jay Smeltz shared opening words.
Announcements:
Kathy shared a nice thank you letter from a scholarship recipient, Evelyn Proctor, who is going to UNH with a dual major in Biochemistry-Molecular and Cellular Biology and Justice Studies.
Cheryl Belair sent out an email about getting started on fundraising for Demar again. The committee has been hard at work developing the ask letter and pledge forms. Mary Delisle will be sending out the spreadsheet with the sponsors and past giving. There is a request for our club members to consider 100% participation in giving - any amount matters. Phil Hueber shared that many grant funders require 100% participation of an organizations Board and this is another way we can all support our vital work.
Phil Wyzyck thanked Cheryl for her help with scheduling the trailers to schools. He has one vacancy on June 3 to Fuller and Franklin schools.
Ann Henderson shared that Team Demar will be happening again this year. They have raised close to $30K in the past!
Phil Hueber reminded Committee Chairs to get in touch with him about your upcoming budget needs.
Susan Newcomer shared that she is learning about all the different protocols of the different schools for sneaker delivery. It will begin May 18 and end June 4th.
Denise shared that they will still be looking for people to lead the activities at each school.
Mike Chelstowski talked about the great work that took place at Ashuelot River Park with the Interact Club. A lot of beautifying and putting up the pergola. Thank you to Lisa Migneault who helped and Marion LOVED seeing all the kids in person.
Yves said that Green Up Keene went well and thanked all Rotarians who helped out. Got it done in less than 2 hours!
Marty shared that the Rotaract Club has a nice relationship with the Keene Senior Center and the worked to clean up their flower gardens.
Foundation:
Phil Wyczyk gave a shout out to Cheryl and Chloe for their great photo and article in CMD/DHK's Heath & Wellness magazine. Sam Wilhelm was featured on the back as well!
Jay Smeltz visited a 99 year old at America House and ran into one of our scholarship recipients for this year who expressed how thankful she is.
Kathrine paid towards foundation to share the link to donate to Bald is Beautiful. Half the money goes to the patient who needs financial help to navigate the difficult journey and half goes to the hospital to purchase vital equipment.
Craig Stockwell went on a beautiful long bike ride with some friends through Vermont.
Sam Wilhelm thanked Susan Newcomer for talking her off the COVID cliff when she had to wait so long for Stephan's shot. Spencer graduates from the Naval program and is going into scuba diving lessons to become a trained rescuer.
Lisa Migneault saw her Mom for the first time in 7 months. It was bitter sweet as her dementia has progressed. It was also nice to see people in "real life" at Ashuelot Park and serving at the Kitchen.
Yours in Service - Kathy
