Craig Stockwell gave a preview of what the Scholarship Committee does related to Unsung Hero's. There is a nomination and review process and recipients receive a financial scholarship to assist them with their education goals.
Judith gave a preview of the Membership Committee. Rotarians can nominate a potential member and there is a thorough process for vetting and recruiting new members. The process to do so is on Club Runner.
Susan Newcomer shared that there were only 8 out of the 27 schools left for sneaker deliveries. Denise chimed in to thank those who were taking leadership roles at the schools.
Marion Lafrancois shared that Interact
is doing roadside clean up this Saturday at 8:00 a.m. and meeting at Gamarlo's in Swanzey if anybody wants to join!
Katherine Richardson thanked the club again for the lactation pods and shared some very nice photos of the mom's who are so grateful for them.
Foundation:
Heidi Rinehart shared that Peter arrived safely in Seattle in his 2007 Subaru. Julianna is leaving for Denver to move into her very expensive apartment. Her mom is going in for her 2nd cataract surgery.
Marion Lafrancois enjoyed the Follow Me dances and seeing the kids who received a couple of minutes of special attention. She and Kelley are looking forward to going to Portsmouth this weekend!
Allen Mendelson has family visiting for his nephew, Ely's, 30th birthday celebration!
Patty Farmer enjoyed the Follow Me experience in Jaffrey/Rindge schools. Also, welcomed Dan Smith's daughter as a Childcare Assistant at Cedarcrest.
Denise was blown away by how the Alstead kids knew the Follow Me dance by heart - thanks to Lisa Therrien!
Beth Wood shared that she is leaving the City and is going to work full time back at 21. Also, she is expecting her second child!
Allen Mendelson called her out as one of the new Co-Chairs for Monadnock United Way!
John Round wanted people to know that Annie Card at Hill Top Golf is holding numerous fundraisers for local nonprofits - check out their website and participate!
Phil Hueber talked about his mentee from Princeton and that he was able to attend his graduation - a first generation/low income young man from Nepal - it was very touching.
I continue to work with fellow Rotarians on possible places to meet in person again. I welcome anybody to help out and make some calls as well.
