Announcements:

Phil Hueber shared that 15% of our club members have still not paid dues. The great news is that we have raised more through Foundation with virtual meetings than we did in person. Also, $1600 was donated to the breastfeeding pods that Cheshire Health Foundation is looking to invest in for their breast feeding moms who are employees. Katherine also applied to Allocations.

Kathy shared that one of our club members inquired about when we might meet in person again. It was discussed at the Board and all members agreed that we would stay virtual for now. Kathy invited those who are craving personal connection to seek out those moments with other club members who feel that same craving.

Foundation:
There were MANY thanks to Kerry Kelley and Melissa Stroshine for their volunteer efforts at vaccine sites. It's not only the time at the sites but also with the many phone calls in the mornings and evenings for scheduling. Kerry shared that the volunteers and National Guard who are working the sites would welcome healthy snacks and lunches. "Goodies for the Greater Good." Denise Thomas already sent a lunch over to the full crew - thank you, Denise! There are approximately 60 people a day working.
Susan encouraged club members to donate $25 to foundation and this would go towards meals for the volunteers!

Mary Delisle shared that, in lieu of the live Men Who Cook fundraiser, that they are doing a cookbook and welcome recipes from the men who have contributed in the past - or, new men to join in. There is an early March deadline. The event itself - you can buy a $25 ticket and receive 2 raffle tickets (for some great prizes) and a cookbook. Luca, Ted McGreer and Danny Mitchell will be participating on May 1st!

Bob Englund shared that on Valentines Day his 2nd daughter turned 50! They did a zoom call and had 24 Englunds from all over the country on the call. Also, Bob and Dita celebrated 53 years of wedded bliss and he will donate $53 to foundation.

Phil Hueber shared that since the shut down a year ago, a group of 6 couples have been gathering safely on Sunday afternoons. The "Chesterfield Crew" haven't missed a week!

Alan Stroshine shared that Claire was headed to do her written exam at the DMV!
Fred Hadlow's daughter, Whitney, is practicing her driving now - nerve wracking!
