John Round shared opening words.

Announcements:

Yves completed NE Pets Training and was very impressed with the line up of speakers.

Kathy Collinsworth shared that we received a thank you letter and picture from the Himalayan girls school who we made a donation to. She also talked to Josh Meehan at Keene Housing and his team is meeting weekly to discuss COVID protocols as they consider when and how to reopen their meeting space to us.

Jay Smeltz shared that there is one week left to nominate a community member for the Unsung Hero's scholarship. The info is on our webpage.

Susan Newcomer shared that the Sneaker Committee met and she and Denise are calling the 27 schools we have worked with in the past. So far, those they have talked to are EXCITED about making it happen - all will have specific protocols that will need to be followed. They are also discussing what we can do for the now 3rd graders who didn't get sneakers last year. Delivery will be the 2nd week of May through June. Shipment of sneakers are next week!

Mike Chelstowski shared that the Membership Committee was meeting after the Rotary meeting.

Foundation:

Susan Newcomber shared that Kerry Kelley and Melissa Stroshine continue to do a Yo Mans job at the vaccines site. The volunteers there have gone from serving 400 people are day to 1300!
Lisa Migneault echoed Susan's shout out.

Marion Lafrancios shared that she and Kelly got their first shots.
Kathy Collinsworth thanked Marion and Kelly for the donation of Blue Bird houses in the field at Monadnock Humane Society. She also reminded people that MHS has amazing trails and fields to walk your dogs!

John Round shared that he is now fully vaccinated and headed to see his Mom who will be discharged from the skilled nursing facility she has been staying in. She is 79 years old and still hasn't even had her first shot.
Cam passed his PGA of America Ability test and will be working at Summer Weston Golf Club in Ma. Maia finished her internship with Maggie Hassan and will be coming home to complete online classes - maybe she will go stay with her Grandmother and help her out some!

Kerry Kelley encouraged people to volunteer at the vaccine site. The fill-ins are no longer available at this time and she thanked Susan Newcomer for taking some shifts.
Alan Stroshine expressed his frustration that he now has to cook his own meals and clean the house with Melissa volunteering so much.

Craig Stockwell shared that he is fully vaccinated and he went to NYC for 3 days and visited the Met Museum.

Heidi Reinhart actually showed real dollars on the zoom call and expressed how much she and Rudy miss the energy of our club. Elly is doing great and made a showing on the screen! She is now taller than her Mom and doesn't need to stand on chairs anymore when she makes an announcement. She is 16 and still loving MoCo!

Susan Newcomer shared that her son is coming home from Manhattan and hasn't left the city for 18 months! He will be staying at home in Chesterfield for 3 days!

Mike Chelstowski shared that the Mendelson's invited people over for a bonfire and as Mike arrived it was evident that the fire was spreading rapidly. A team effort was made to control it!

Ted McGreer shared that he is now fully vaccinated. He shared that MacKenzie is coming home for Easter and that Matthew is apparently learning to drive from his Grandmother - he and Heather found out that she took him to C&S Parking lot to practice unbeknownst to them!

Kerry Kelley shared that she signed up to help with the Million Mask Challenge and drove to CT to pick up 2 cases of masks. She enjoyed meeting other Rotarians!

Fred Hadlow shared that he had his first shot. Will, his son, has COVID and is sitting in solitude at Penn State.

Peter McBride shared that he got his "first jab" of the vaccine last night and that, in the UK, the Government has them in full lockdown.

I will apologize up front for any misspellings of names!
Yours in service - Kathy
